HISTORY OF NEVSEHIR HACI BEKTAŞ VELİ UNIVERSITY
Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University is one of 17 universities which were inaugurated on May 17th, 2007.
Our university is comprised of Nevşehir College of Hotel & Tourism Management, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Sema-Vefa Küçük College of Health and Nevşehir Vocational College, all of which had previously belonged to Erciyes University, Hacı Bektaş Veli Vocational College, previously a part of Gazi University and Ürgüp Sebahat & Erol Toksöz Vocational College, previously a part of Hacettepe University are also components of the University.
Moreover, our university features a Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Education, a Faculty of Engineering & Architecture, a Faculty of Arts and Sciences as well as a Faculty of Fine Arts.Furthermore, it has both an Institute of Social Sciences and an Institute of Science.
Our university, bestowed with the namesake of Nevşehir, carrying out its educational activities with 7 Faculties, 3 college, 7 vocational schools, 3 institutes and 8 research and practice centers is sure to carry on with its educational activities along with the new departments to be founded by the contribution of the Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Foundation.
Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University is at the disposal of students and scientists with its 4 campuses, including the main campus.
Our university is on the path to being one of the foremost universities of Turkey with its more than 3500 students, physical & social facilities and large academic staff whose works are based on vigorous research.
Nevsehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, located in the Cappadocia Region which is one of the most important tourism centers of Turkey, is of vital importance to the development and enlightenment of our society.
